Chapter 1155

chapter1155

Thalassa glanced in the rear-view mirror. To avoid any mistake in her judgment, she deliberately turned

at an upcoming intersection.

The black vehicle that had been on the straight path promptly mimicked her maneuver, blatantly

running a red light just to keep up.

Realizing this, Thalassa's nerves tensed. She floored the gas pedal and sped up.

The pursuer matched her acceleration. It was no longer a discreet tail but an overt chase.

Memories of a past abduction flashed in her mind, spurring Thalassa’s panic. She dared not stop,

pushing her car faster in an attempt to get rid of the relentless follower.

Yet, her driving skills were average at best, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape the

car behind her.

Before she knew it, she found herself on a rural stretch of road, away from the usual traffic, alone with

her pursuer.

Thalassa’s unease grew as she saw the surroundings.

As she contemplated her next move, the car behind suddenly sped up and overtook her. Then it

swerved in front, blocking her path.

Thalassa's car was still barreling forward. She gasped at the sight, slamming on the brakes with all her

might.

The tires screeched against the pavement, emitting the acrid smell of rubber burning. Just a heartbeat

before collision, her car shuddered to a halt.

Her body lurched forward from the inertia, only to be snapped back by her seat belt.

After a violent jolt, everything stood still. Her heart raced as she gasped for breath, staring at the car

before her.

The door of the black car swung open, revealing a figure in a leather miniskirt and a tight black tee, her

curves blatantly on display—it was Debby!

It was her tailing Thalassa.

Debby strode over to Thalassa’s car, standing at the driver’s door and tapping on the door.

Still shaken and furious, Thalassa didn’t get out but rolled down her window and snapped, “Debby, do

you have any idea how dangerous it is? What the hell are you thinking?”

With a sullen face, Debby crooked her finger, “Get out. We need to talk.”

Her demeanor was brash, and with the desolate road ahead, Thalassa didn’t want to step out. She

frowned and retorted, “If you’ve got something to say, say it. Don’t waste my time. I need to get home.”

“If you don’t get out, I’ll torch your car,” Debby threatened, pulling a lighter from her pocket, igniting it

and tilting her head slightly with a bubblegum bubble popping from her mouth. Her hand hovered

menacingly close to Thalassa’s car tire.

“Are you crazy?” Thalassa cried out in a panic, unlocking the door and pushing it open.

Thalassa, too frazzled to recognize her whereabouts, blurted, “What on earth do you want to say?”

Debby gestured towards the dark, lush depths of the forest, “Look there. Don’t tell me you don’t

recognize it?” Updated at Draмоvels.cоm

Withdrawing her gaze, Thalassa frowned and asked warily, “It’s just a wood. What’s so strange about

it?”

Debby let out a cold laugh, “That’s Leopold’s graveyard; don’t you remember?”
