Chapter 1227

chapter1227

Thalassa made her way to the edge of the bed, poised to sit down, when suddenly she felt a firm grip

around her waist and her body lifted into the air.

Lysander's muscular chest pressed against her as he spun her around and pinned her down onto the

soft bedding beneath them.

Panic fluttered in Thalassa's chest, her eyes wildly searching until they locked with Lysander's piercing

gaze. It was as if his sharp eyes had captured the flickering light within her own.

Her heart was ensnared just as firmly.

Lysander's large hand cradled her face, his deep-set eyes shadowed and voice husky, "How do you

plan on repaying what you owe me?"

Thalassa's breath hitched at his low, gravelly question, "What?"

"Your debt of gratitude," he murmured, his rough voice like the pouring rain.

Her heart raced at his implication. Was he referring to the favor she now owed him because of that

passing comment she made earlier? That she had repaid Callum and in turn, indebted herself to

Lysander? Was he still holding onto that grudge?

"I... I mean..." Thalassa stammered.

Before she could utter another word, Lysander had leaned in close, kissing her lips with a punishing

intensity.

His kiss was overpowering, punishing, and yet, oddly tender. A tingling sensation began at the meeting

of their lips, zipping straight to her heart, then rippled out to every inch of her being.

Thalassa felt her entire body melt into cotton, her limbs going limp as if she were nothing more than a

puddle of water.

She gasped for air, nearly suffocating, until Lysander finally released her, leaving her breathless. His

damp kisses trailed down to the sensitive skin beneath her ear, his warm breath sending shivers down

her spine.

"Now we're even," he said, his voice a deep rumble.

Thalassa's dazed mind snapped into clarity, her eyes widening slightly.

One kiss was all it took to settle her debt?

What had he been so upset about before?

Lysander lifted his head, his gaze still smoldering, "What's wrong? Not satisfied?"

Thalassa blinked herself back to reality, "No, it's not that. I just didn't expect..."

"Didn't expect what?" Lysander probed.

"That your favors could be repaid so... easily," Thalassa replied.

Lysander stayed silent, his intense stare unwavering. After a half-second pause, he stood up and

walked towards the bathroom.

Turning her head towards the bathroom, she watched as Lysander's tall, lean silhouette disappeared

behind the door.

During their kiss, she had felt the changes in his body. She had warned him before—if he couldn't

restrain himself, if he continued to kiss her with such fervor, he would be the one to suffer. New chаpter

After all, it was usually the man who found it unbearable, who couldn't hold back the desire.

For a straight woman like herself, it was far less impactful.

Yet, he simply wouldn't listen.
