chapter1274
Her face was pressed against Lysander's chest, his shirt still on from the day before, carrying the
rugged scent of his masculinity and the warmth of his body.
As Thalassa breathed in, the scent filled her nostrils and her heart fluttered back to wakefulness.
She held her breath, gently pushing away the arms Lysander had wrapped around her, and carefully
got out of bed, trying not to wake him.
After freshening up in the bathroom with a quick brush of her teeth and a splash of water on her face,
Thalassa was ready to slip out of the room quietly. But when she looked back at the bed, she saw
Lysander's eyes wide open, observing her.
Caught off guard, she offered a coy smile. "You're up early."
"Not as early as you," Lysander replied, sitting up and stretching his long legs as he walked towards
her.
His intense presence drew nearer, and Thalassa stepped back instinctively.
"What's for breakfast?" he asked, stopping half a step away from her, his gaze lowered towards her.
"No idea," she shrugged.
"What do you feel like eating?" his voice was a low rumble.
"I haven't decided yet. I was thinking of checking in on my mom first to see what she's up for," Thalassa
lifted her eyes to meet his gaze.
Lysander held her stare silently.
Her heart pounded as if it were trying to escape her chest, and just when she thought he might ,
his deep voice granted permission, "Go ahead."
Thalassa's eyes lit up with surprise. She glanced at his handsome face, certain he meant it, and quickly
turned to leave.
As she watched her retreat, Lysander headed to the bathroom to freshen up himself.
Stepping out of the room, Thalassa realized she had no idea where Evelyn was staying.
Her intention had been to find her mother the night before, but Lysander's embrace had lulled her to
sleep before she could.
She had slept right through to the morning, oblivious to where Evelyn had ended up last night.
Pulling out her phone, Thalassa dialed Evelyn's number.
It was picked up quickly, and Evelyn's voice came through, "Thalassa, finally remembering your
mother, huh?"
The words made Thalassa feel a twinge of guilt.
"Mom, where are you?" she asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I'm down in the hotel diner. Come on down for breakfast and refuel yourself," Evelyn said before
hanging up.
With a flushed face, Thalassa pocketed her phone and took the elevator to the ground floor, not giving
another thought to Lysander.
He probably didn't need her to fuss over him. If he wanted breakfast, he'd have a hundred ways to sort
it out without her worrying.
As she approached, both Evelyn and Callum looked up at her. Content of Drаmovels.cоm
Callum's usual gentle smile and easygoing demeanor were a welcome sight.
"What brings you here alone? Where's him?" Evelyn glanced behind Thalassa, curious.
"He didn't come," Thalassa replied.
