chapter2128
Magnus led Denise straight to Cecilia and Nathaniel without even greeting Eloise or Heather along the way.
Heather frowned in dissatisfaction, but Magnus was her most beloved grandson, so she couldn't vent her anger.
Cecilia nodded at Magnus. "Hey."
"Let me bring you inside," Magnus immediately offered.
"No need. You and Denise should bring your grandmother inside. Nathaniel and I will go in on our own," Cecilia said.
She understood Magnus' intentions full well-he wanted to enter with her and Nathaniel to show off their relationship to the wealthy businessmen.
Magnus was a little embarrassed to hear her rejection.
Seeming to only just notice Heather and Eloise, he said, "Eloise, Grandma, you're here too. Let's all go in together then."
Heather nodded. "All right. Let's go."
The group then walked into the hotel.
Magnus stood solicitously by Cecilia and Nathaniel, while Denise accompanied Heather and Eloise.
"Cecilia, Nathaniel, I'm really happy that you could come today," Magnus said joyfully.
"Don't be happy too soon." Cecilia looked at him seriously and asked, "Didn't you say you were just holding a simple wedding? Why did you invite so many people?"
Magnus' smile faltered.
Knowing that he couldn't fool Cecilia and Nathaniel, he could only confess. "Cecilia, I owe you so much money. It's unrealistic to rely on working to pay it back, so I had no choice but to resort to this."
Cecilia hadn't expected him to admit it so readily.
"At least you have the nerve to admit it," she remarked.
"I've changed now; I'm not the person I used to be." Magnus chuckled.
Cecilia offered no reply. Whether or not Magnus had truly changed was something only he himself could know.
Some time later, they finally arrived at the

it.
In the eyes of the businessmen, spending a little money and giving a small gift to
see Cecilia and Nathaniel at the wedding was nothing.
Even if they gained nothing out of it, they could boast to others later that they had met Cecilia and Nathaniel and attended a wedding with them.
Magnus arranged Cecilia and Nathaniel in the best and most conspicuous spot.
As soon as Cecilia sat down, Heather came over.
"Magnus, why is she sitting here too? This is where the elders sit," Heather asked.
Magnus quickly pulled Heather's hand. "Grandma, Cecilia has helped me a lot. I respect her as much as I respect you."
Heather understood Magnus' intention, so she frowned slightly but said nothing more.
With that, Cecilia was seated with Heather, her sons, and her granddaughters. Eloise felt a little displeased.
In the past, Cecilia would never have been qualified to sit with her.
Yet, the moment Cecilia sat down, James and Jonah became almost
embarrassingly obsequious to her.
"Ceci, do you like the dishes here? If they aren't good, come to my house, and my
wife will cook for you," Jonah said.
James also nodded hastily. "Your

They spoke loudly, as if afraid that the people around them wouldn't learn about Cecilia's connection to them.
The people around them did indeed notice the exchange and were incredulous. "Isn't that James? How is he Cecilia's uncle?" one whispered.
"Shouldn't her uncles be from the Jamieson family?" another wondered aloud. Everyone began to chatter amongst themselves.
Looking at the reactions of the people around her, Cecilia furrowed her brows slightly.
