chapter2152
Having failed to get the bodyguard to avenge him, Felix returned to the classroom in a huff.
"Just you wait. When I go home, I'll tell my grandfather to stop your company from getting listed!" he declared while glaring at Dante.
At the mention of his family's company, Dante's determined expression faltered. He couldn't help but feel worried.
After all, he was just a kid, so Felix could only physically hurt him, but he couldn't say the same for his family's company.
If his parents found out about it, they would definitely blame him.
Dante's earlier defiance slowly faded, and he was about to yield when Jonathan spoke up. "Felix, what else can you do besides threatening people?"
Felix looked at Jonathan in surprise.
"I... I..." he stammered, unable to speak.
Jonathan's cold gaze settled on his face. "You'd better stop playing tricks if you want to study in this class."
Felix seemed like a mouse cornered by a cat. Lowering his head, he said, "Jon, this is between me and Dante. You should stay out of it."
"Dante and I are good friends. I saw everything, so I must interfere," Jonathan replied.
Felix flushed. "Jon, you and I are relatives, but he's a nobody!"
"Relatives?" Jonathan curved his lips into a sneer. "We are rivals in the
Rainsworth family. You were even thinking of inheriting my father's fortune after he died."
"What?" Felix panicked at the mention of that last part.
At the time, he didn't know Nathaniel had children, which was why he said he wanted to inherit his fortune.
"Jon, I was only joking back then," Felix explained.
"There's always a grain of truth in a joke. I won't let my guard down just because
you say it's a joke," Jonathan said deliberately.
Teasing Felix was like teasing a kid younger than himself.
The class bell rang at that moment.
Felix reluctantly sat back down in his seat, then said to Dante, "I'll let you off this time. Don't let there be a next time!"
Ignoring him, Dante sat upright and looked at his book.
That frustrated Felix. Somehow, even though he was the one bullying others, he
felt somewhat upset when the others ignored him.
Dante used to follow him
everywhere, but now he was even
arguing with him. The immense
change made Felix increasingly
uncomfortable
As he couldn't accept the situation, he picked up his pen and poked Dante's back during math class.
Daniel knew about Felix's situation, so he didn't scold him.
Dante could only squirm uncomfortably to avoid the pokes.
His fidgeting attracted Daniel's attention, who harshly reprimanded him. "Dante, if you're not going to sit still go stand at the back of the
class and listen from there
Pouting, Dante rose to his feet and walked to the back of the room, where he listened to the class while standing.
Felix even turned his head and made a face at him.
On the surface, Dante remained emotionless, but his dislike for Felix deepened in his heart.
Time flew by, and another year passed.
In that year, Cecilia heard that Chelsea, despite her parents' ions, had gotten together with Jason.
At the Rainsworth Manor, Phoebe was complaining to Elena, while Cecilia sat nearby playing Connect Four with Gabriel.
"I don't know what's gotten into her that she insists on being with that poor boy," Phoebe grumbled.
Elena consoled her. "Let her be. You
were always rushing Chelsea to get married, and now that she's finally
found someone, you should be happy for her."
